ANZAC DAY

Anzac day is very special in our community as Tinui held the first ever ANZAC service in New Zealand.
Each year there is a special service held at the community hall and students from the school are chosen to speak. This is a huge honour and we are proud of them.

This year the classes have learned more about ANZAC day through books and artwork and discussions.

We have had a great start to the term.

Room 4 EOTC

The term has come to an end and just before it ended the senior room took part in their camp.
This year it was based locally and consisted of learning to surf, cooking on hobo stoves, team challenges, rock climbing, kayaking, low and high ropes course, caving, a flying fox and camping out then tramping.
We got to share the week with lots of our parents and we had an awesome time and learned lots about challenging ourselves.
A huge thank you to all the parents and helpers who made the week such a great one.

Here is a slide show of our first day which was learning to surf at the gap at Castlepoint. Miles Ratima who is a surfing champion, was our tutor. As you can tell we really enjoyed it.
